General Dreampool Tournament Director Rules


All Tournament Directors
By becoming a Dreampool Tournament Director, you agree to abide by the following rules. You are a representative of the Dreampool league and are volunteering to help members and insure everyone has a fun time. NOTE: The list of rules may not cover all the situations. These are general guidelines to help you better do your job. Use common sense! HTDs and Admins are here to help you. Don’t hesitate to ask for clarification of rules or other help if you need it. Failure to follow the rules could result in your return to Training status or removal as TD.


TD MANAGER:

1. TDs are not allowed to go on Vacation status, 10 tourneys min. per month or be removed.

2. 60 sec timers must be applied to all tourney tables except Bootem, RNR and games with other specified timers.

3. TDs are responsible for their own tourneys; if something happens please ask a HTD or ADMIN to Mark the winner Htds do not close out tourneys in dp.

4. Tds must use tourney Rules on their Tourney page and by the same tourney name as main page. If you are going to host a variation of one of the tourneys specified, the variation MUST be included in your spam, if you dont have the rules page on your tourney page ask a admin how to add them to your tourney page .

5. If you do not have the rules specific to the tourney on your page u face removal from td. if u want to add the rules here is the link < IFRAMEsrc="http://ww.dream-pool.org/trnyrules22.html"name="links" height="620" width="580" frameborder="0" cellspacing="0"cellpadding="0"scrolling="no"> this page is updated weekly so if u are not sure use this one just close the gap bewtween< at the start and finish > then it will load fine, it goes in custom rules then check save as defult ask a admin if you are not sure of how this works.

6. If there is a dispute during one of your tourneys please go to table and try and sort it out. Ask a HTD or ADMIN to help if needed. IF none are available, you make the decision as the TD has the final say. Be Fair or Admin will get involved!

7. Tourney spams should be no more than 4 lines for one tourney; 5 for 2 and so on just so one person’s spam doesn’t fill the whole lobby. Yahoo is deacting id's that spam over 3 lines so use at your own risk!

8. Most of all, make your tourneys fun!! Treat all members with respect and remember they are what make this league so great; treat them the way you would like to be treated. Same for other staff; we are all volunteers on the same team and need to work together and support each other at all times.

9. A great way to support the league is to play in tourneys when you are not hosting.

10. Once a tourney match has started and the timer has started, whether it is 60 sec or whatever, if a player gets booted or goes idle, the opponent has the right to continue playing and finish the game. TD may be invited.

11. Any questions you might have, contact a HTD or ADMIN and we’ll do our best to help you. We appreciate the time and effort you are putting forward as a volunteer and we want you people to have fun and make things as easy as possible.

12. League Spam can only be spammed once every 5 mins! Make them small regards rule #5!

13. Other Languages: All foreign languages by Dreampool TD's, when hosting, are not allowed, and will result in a 1 day box if caught.

14. TD's must host 10 tourneys a month or will get removed!


15. Check to make sure on all tournaments you make have the tourney rules on your tourney page, if we find one of your tourneys that are ran from 2/21/09 you will be removed from td without notice.

16. Td's with the ability to run a TOC cant play in the toc even if your name is on it, If caught playing in a tourney they are running you will be removed from td without notice.

17. No tourneys can be run if they arent on the tourney rules page, if you have a tourney you would like to run email me or pete to put it up on the rules page so you can run it, if caught running a tourney that isnt in the rules you will be removed from td without notice.

18. If anyone is caught jumping a tourney for someone else will be kicked and banned from league no exceptions, so if someone having trouble jumping not our problem just wait for someone else to come along. If anyone is sharing passwords will also be banned without notice.

18. bootems are to be spammed and hosted seperatly No excptions eg spamming a bootem and a reg 8 at same time is a no go Zone and we will be watchin if u want to host a bootem it is spammed as a stan alone tourney No Excptions.

HTD RULES

HTD MANAGER:Anna

To qualify for a HTD position, a TD must host at least 50 tourneys, have been a Dreampool tournament director for at least 30 days, get voted in by admin at admins meeting and display leadership qualities.

HTDS rules include all TD rules above and a bit more. Be sure to ask ADMIN for help anytime you need it.

1. HTDS must host at least 15 tourneys a week. It is your responsibility to let an Admin know if there is some reason you cannot host the minimum tourneys.

2. HTDS are here to help new TDs get going so if you see someone in trouble offer to help them out; let them know they doing a good job and make suggestions to them how to do it better next time.

3. If swearing or other inappropriate behavior starts in lobby, warn the offender in a polite way. If they don’t stop, take it private and try to sort the problem if you can. If it continues, take a SS of it and send it to Admin. Same goes for TDs; if they become disruptive, put them in training, make a note under TD notes, and email ADMIN with the details. Do not argue or engage in any other behavior that will add to the problem in the lobby.

4. HTDS keep an eye on things and help ADMIN keep things rolling and the lobby calm.

5. HTDS do not approve TD applications; that is an ADMIN function. Recruiting new TDs is a job for all of us. The more active TDs we have the better.

6. HTDS try to make the lobby fun and have a good time with TDs and members as they are the people who make the league number one. HTDs should not be swearing, arguing or engaging in any other behavior that will cause drama in lobby. NO EXUSES!! TAKE IT PRIVATE PLEASE.

7. HTDS No more moving a tourney or closing a tourney or finishing a tourney for another td, mark the winners if you are HTD but that is it, dont finish out a tourney for anyone! If you make a tourney but not run it when it is made then delete the tourney.

8. Violating any of these rules or the rules on the main page will result in removal from td boxed or banned from lg, and if it isnt on the main page then use your common sense.

9. HAVE FUN; IT’S CONTAGIOUS!!!!
