DREAMPOOL’S GENERAL RULES
By becoming a Dreampool member, you agree to abide by the following rules. Violating these rules can result in: a warning, a game rerack, a tournament disqualification, a reduction in rank, a suspension (the penalty box), or getting kicked from DP. NOTE: The list of rules may not cover all the situations. So if something is not listed here, it doesn’t mean that it is allowed. Use common sense! If you have any specific question, please contact any Administrator or TD.
GENERAL PLAYER RULES
1. Behavior: DREAMPOOL is a league for friendly competition. So uncool behavior; such as swearing, harassing (aimer accusations), or insulting other members; is not acceptable. Also arguing with members or the staff in the lobby is not allowed. Please take a dispute to a private table or admin team for arbitration. Also please note no abuse of any other league member will be tolerated!
2. Yahoo Provisional IDs: These are not allowed for tournament play. If you
attempt to join a tourney with a yahoo provisional ID, you will be removed or
disqualified from that tournament. A yahoo provisional ID is one which has less
than 20 completed yahoo pool games on it. However, you are still welcome to join
the league and play league games if you have a provisional ID. Note--Any id less then
1100 is also considered a provisional id.
3. League Names: Your Dreampool name and Yahoo ID must match exception. Becareful
when choosing your league name. If any member feels offended by your name, you may be
asked to change it, No swear words in your name or anything close to it. You are allowed
one and only one DP name. If you have more than one all accounts will be kicked.
Furthermore, you can only use the Yahoo ID that is registered with DP. Admins will no
longer change your league name unless yahoo has deact your id, so you can only change it
once per week! Note: If name is to long ask admin to add on the characters that dont fit
and if its still to long then the player will be asked to change it!
4. Cheating: Cheating of any kind is unacceptable in DP. Members caught cheating or attempting to cheat will be Banned from League.
5. Coaching: Coaching is allowed at tables.
6. Aimer Accusion: Aimer Accusion is not allowed at tables or in lobby, this is not tolerated in any form in lobby so becareful!
7. No booting another member off a table!
8. All timers on the tables are 60 sec's unless td says different! note: Taking bih when given by yahoo is Allowed, except in Suicide!
9. Force Forfeits are Allowed!
10. Camtasia is banned from DP. It is used for Interleague play not Lg play!
11. Proxies are not allowed in league. If member found using one THEY WILL BE KICKED!
12. ALL LOBBY RULES ARE NOW EXTENDED TO ALL THE TABLES IN ADV 3.
13. No more ff'ing for anyone, Dont jump if you dont plan on playing! If a
member does this in your tourney tell admin and the offender will be boxed or
banned from league, This does not include when you are booted timer must be applied for that situation it is meant for jsut jumpin to close a tourney.
14. If anyone is caught jumping a tourney for someone else will be kicked and
banned from league no exceptions, so if someone having trouble jumping not our
problem just wait for someone else to come along. If anyone is sharing
passwords will also be banned without notice!
GAMEPLAY RULES
1. Yahoo Glitches: Glitches/Lags are part of the game. The DP staff is not responsible for either. In the event of a glitch/lag, unless the players involved can settle the irregularity themselves, the outcome of the game remains.
2. Breaks: (1) In Dreampool breaks do not count. If you pot the eight ball
on the break or for various games loss the game on the break: it is rerack.
(2) If the game is to brief for yahoo to record the game, it is a rerack.
(3) Before breaking a player must move the cue ball a distance of three cue
balls in length. If not, the game is a rerack.
3. Tables: Players must create a protected table, not a private table.
4. Sportsmanship: Please try to be a good sport and say good luck and good game.
TOURNEY RULES Tournament competition with four or more players
1. 60sec Table Timer: All rated and unrated games will be played with a 60sec table timer; unless by default, the game has a table timer.
2. A new tourney table has to be made after every tourney game!
3. Inviters/Invitees: Immediately after the tourney’s pairings has been posted on the standings web page: the all/both players TURN ON INVITES; the player(s) on the left/top of the bracket invites the right/bottom player(s). If after 30 seconds without an invite,
